First Meet of the Season!!
Just a few housekeeping items in regards to our first meet tomorrow:
As a team we will wear our cross country t-shirts to school tomorrow. If you were not in practice today and have successfully participated in seven practices, Coach Wallace will have a uniform for you when we meet on Midland Ave. If you have not completed seven practices, you are to come to the meet. There will be a workout for you to complete and you will have the opportunity to cheer on your teammates.
For those who are competing, freshman and new members to cross country will run the 2 mile at 4pm. If you are a freshman or new comer to cross country and would like to run the 5K, email Coach Wallace with your request. All other individuals who have been with the program for more than one year will run the 5K. Coach Wallace will inform those athletes who will run in the varsity races tomorrow. If you are not in the varsity race (Girls 4:30pm/Boys 5:15pm) you will run the JV 5K at 5:45pm.
We ask that each athlete stay to cheer on their teammates for the duration of the meet. If parents attend the meet and want to take their child home after the meet is complete, you are more than welcome to. Parent/guardian will not be able to take another member of the team home.
I'm sure there is some conversation about uniforms (haha), we will rectify this situation tomorrow. We appreciate your time and patience in this matter.
Please be prepared with water, sports drink, fruit, bar or sandwich. Stay hydrated throughout the day, it will be in the 90's.

First Day of School
Hopefully everyone had an enjoyable weekend and are ready for the 2016-2017 school year. Here are a few things to keep in mind.
1. Eat a healthy breakfast, it is the most important meal of the day
2. Stay hydrated throughout the day (drinking one 8oz water bottle is not enough)
3. Pizza and french fries from the truck is not a good lunch, try a turkey/chicken sandwich granola bar, fruit and water
4. When school is dismissed report to Woodman Field. We will have a brief team meeting at 3:05pm on the track, please be on time
5. Pack light color clothing for practice
6. Pack sunscreen
7. Be sure to have a snack for after practice
We have two meets this week, Thursday and Saturday. We will go over the logistics at practice tomorrow.
