Updates

If you have not done so already make sure you look at the roster; if your name isn't on the roster send an email to runningmounties@gmail.com so we can let you know what needs to be done. We haven't received an updated clearance list and have been informed that the next list won't be out until after August 7th; that being said this is the time to get everything in and taken care of. If you've been informed of what you need to do, get it done ASAP; if you haven't checked the roster or inquired about your clearance status, get it done ASAP. 

Reminder, all freshman and juniors will need an impact test. There is a remote ImPACT test on Monday at 2pm and 3pm. Emails were sent out You will need to sign up for a session through the emails sent to athletes in need of an impact test and their parents; the links for those who signed up were sent this morning. If you were not emailed you will need to schedule an appointment with the Matthew J Moreham Center for Athletes through RWJ/ Barnabas Health in Livingston, NJ. This is the only acceptable outside facility we can accept a baseline ImPACT test from. You can go to their website at rwjbh.org and follow the schedule an appointment link. There will be a $15 fee. You must let them know that you are a Montclair High School athlete and be sure they add your results to our database. Once you take your impact with them you will need to email our athletic trainer at mchemidlin@mpsdnj.us.

Roster

The most up to date roster has been posted; if your name (childs name) isn't on the roster please email runningmounties@gmail.com so we can let you know what needs to be done so you are cleared for the first day of practice. Not being on the roster has no effect on summer/captains practice however, all athletes must be cleared by August 21.

Clearance/ Impact testing

The most up to date clearance list will be posted tomorrow with details of what to do if an athlete is not cleared. Rising juniors and freshman must get an impact test, please see information below in regards to when they will take place and what to do to register. If you have already taken then disregard said information.

For anyone who still needs an ImPACT test, you should have registered for a Fall sport in Genesis. This will facilitate the testing taking place on July 24th and July 31st. An email will be sent from me for anyone registered that does not have a current ImPACT baseline. This email will allow you to choose your session and will allow the trainers to send you the appropriate link for that session. You can expect the link within 48 hours of the session. Please be sure to check your junk and spam folders for the expected emails. Your test must be valid through your sports season so for Fall sports it needs to be valid through November of this year. If you did not receive the email to choose your session by 7/17/23, please reach out to Michele at mchemidlin@mpsdnj.us

Captains Practice

Apologies for the delayed post. However, tomorrow all levels should meet for captains practice at 7:30am on Fortunato field. If you arrive early please sit on the bleachers until upper class men arrive as boys soccer will be finishing up practice. Please remember to eat something before arriving and bring water/ Gatorade. Parents practice should be over by 8:45 (9am the latest). 

Please check here daily as there will be updates throughout the summer and also when there is inclement weather we will post changes to practice here, on the fb and the IG stories.

Cross Country End-of-Season Party

 Dear Families,

The Booster Club is hosting an End-of-Season party for all athletes and families. The party will be a relaxed and casual affair and will be an opportunity for everyone to get together, connect, and celebrate this historic XC season.  

Dinner will be catered; drinks and snacks will be provided by the Booster. 

Please RSVP by emailing mhstrackandxcboosterclub@gmail.com as soon as possible. Due to the event being catered we need to know how many people to order for so your RSVP is needed before the end of this week.
