Monday Workout

Please see below for today's workout;

Warm-up: Four sets of jumping Jacks for 1 minute then hold a 1 minute plank. Rest for 45 seconds 

Workout: 6 sets of 1 minute high knees, 1 min jumping jacks, 1 min squats, 1 min push ups, 1 min lunges, 1 min rest. 

ABS:  8 sets of 45 crunches, 1 minute plank (30 sec elbows/30 sec hands), 1 minute rest.

Monday 9/10

Attention: Practice tomorrow has been cancelled due impending flooding and thunderstorms at Holmdel park. All varsity athletes are asked to report to woodman for weight room at 9am. There will be a home workout posted on the blog for everyone else to do.

Update 9/7

Just an update in regards to today. Anyone who is not competing does not have practice today; again the bus will be leaving from Midland Avenue at 2:45pm. Due to finding out so late in the day that yesterday's meet was postponed, we could only get one bus today, so we will try to make due. Our job is the safety of all athletes. With that being said, some people will not be able to go today; we have a few athletes who are away or unable to compete today, so we will have a some open spaces and try to make due.

There will be practice at 8:30am tomorrow morning at Woodman Field, we apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. Also please see link on right hand side title XC Gear. First Meet

Today's meet has been moved to tomorrow; the bus will leave at 2:45. For today's workout please do the yoga link on the right hand side under the link for the schedule.
Due to the districts early closure and cancellation of after school activities we will not be competing at the meet this afternoon. We will be back at woodman field tomorrow after school for practice, locker rooms will be opened. We ask that you all don't take your time getting your things and coming down to woodman field. The locker rooms will be locked by 3pm so you must be changed and out so we can begin warming up by 3.

UPDATE

Good morning, the following was sent by the Board of Ed last night. I will follow up with our athletic director today and do an updated post before noon. More than likely this means we will be forfeiting today's meet but we ask that athletes please pack as if there is a meet today just in case;

Tomorrow, Sept. 6 is the first day back for students and while we eagerly welcome students, due to forecasts of excessive heat, the district is scheduling an abbreviated day (early dismissal). This decision is based on weather advisories and the concern for our students’ and staff members' health and safety.

Please see below for your school's early dismissal time. Additionally, all after-care programs, including the YMCA, are cancelled along with the cancellation of all after-school activities.  Please note the YMCA before-care is available at the regular time of 7:30 am in all elementary schools. Please stay safe and hydrated during this hot weather.

First Meet

The bus will be leaving at 2:45 from the midland avenue side of the main building tomorrow. The freshman(boys and girls) race will go off at 4pm, varsity boys race at 4:30, varsity girls at 5:15 and the mixed JV race goes off at 5:45pm. Athletes, remember you are not wearing your uniform to the meet; pack different warm up attire (t-shirt and pants) and please be changed before getting on the bus there is no where to change in the park. Also, please make sure you all eat breakfast, snack and hydrate throughout the day and also have snacks and water/gatorade for the meet as well.
