The next 10 days will be our preparation for the varsity and non-varsity Essex county championships at brookdalepark on Friday November 1st. Everyone will run a 5k race. Some students will get out of school earlier for their race. Others get out regular time. We will be having a bake sale at meet. More to follow. We will be having our team banquet on Saturday November 2nd at 1-3pm. At the atrium.  Any problems with these dates let the coaches know immediately.

Saturday race schedule and bus

The freshmen and sophomores will go on 7:45 bus. The juniors and seniors in the 8:45 bus.  Frosh girls run at 9. Frosh boys 9:20.  Soph. Girls 9:40. Soph boys 10:00.  Junior girls 10:20, junior boys 10:40,  senior girls 11:00 and senior boys 11:20.

announcements for week 10/14-10/19

make sure you let coaches know your availabilty for meet on saturday 10/19 at branchbrook park. we need to know so as to order 1 or 2 buses. thursday is a half day and practice will go from 1:30 till around 3:15. selected varsity runners will travel to garrett mountain to workout. plan to get back by 4:00. monday and wednesday are very important practices to attend for our preparation for saturday. remember legs and elbows should be covered. after warm-up you can run in shorts and t-shirt. Mark on your calendar saturday 11/2 team banquet from 1-3 in the atrium. Food preparation will be handled by certain classes. any questions contact one of the coaches ASAP.

Cross Country Announcements

Good Morning!

Just a few announcements to keep everyone updated. 

Friday November 1, 2013 is our Essex County Championships. It willl be held at Brookdale Park. MHS Cross Country Parents will host our second annual bake sale on that day. For any parent/guardian who would like to help in any capacity please contact Connie Keys at hotelkeys@aol.com. 

We have also set a date for our end of the season banquet. It will be held Saturday November 2, 2013 from 1-3pm. More details will follow, we just wanted you to have the date so it can be put on your calendars. This event is not just for the athletes to attend, family and friends are welcome as well. For anyone who would like to assist with this event please contact Mary Quiroz at MQuiroz@woboe.org

Saturday 10/12 Garrett meet. Everyone is eligible to run that's listed on locker room ink boards. Bus leaves 7:30. Let coach Pasternack by end of practice if you can run.           Saturday 10/19 at branch brook park. Everyone is eligible to run. Email coach Pasternack at joelrun@aol.com if your planning to run.     Friday 11/2 at brookdalepark  everyone is eligible to run. 11/8 at brookdalepark  only non- varsity are eligible to run.      Saturday 11/9 at Garrett mountain only top 7 varsity are eligible.   Please contact coach Pasternack immediately of any conflicts you have with these dates.

SEC championships 10/8/13

All information regarding SEC Championships has been posted under the  additional information tab. All individuals in the 3 and 3:20pm races you are excused from your 8th period class. Please make sure you report to Midland after 7th. All other runners(4pm and 5pm) you will report to Midland Ave after school.

Brett Taylor Invitational

Saturday October 5, 2013 we will be traveling to Darlington Park for the Brett Taylor Invitational. Directions can be found on the XC schedule The bus will be leaving Midland Ave at 7:30am. The event list has been provided on the right hand side under additional information. Order of events are as follows:
